  • 1,800.00 ฿

Like the birth of a monster Godzilla from radioactive after Atomic bomb in Japan at World War II, 1945. ‘Pink Man’ (performed by Sompong Thawee) was born as a product of economic crisis, known as Tom Yum Kung crisis, starting from Thailand to all over Asia. A fat wearing shocking pink executive suit with his empty pink shopping cart starts roaming around with full of greed and nouveau riche’s tastelessness to pursue materials. As soon as he appeared to the art world, he became its icon. The long time adventure to heaven earth and hell of mister pink over 20 years (1997-2018) has been put together in a book “Pink Man Story” that features photographic works, sculptures and activities including his last day at New York where his life was ended by American gun culture and racism.  There are texts contributed by well known artist, writer, curator and art scholar.
